The Global Zoe -Bel Nan Tout Fason Feat. C4

Formally known, Phatboi, The Global Zoe is one of the most hardworking artists out there. He has been very consistent putting out quality music and promoting his sound “Zoumpa”, an eclectic sound influenced by Zouk, Compas, R&B, and Hip-hop. He blesses the club with this beautiful tune –“Bel Nan Tout Fason”, in which he features C4 and Krezi Beatz.

The Global Zoe Compas strong influence came from his father who used to own a Haitian radio station as well as a Compas band. “Everyday the house would sound like a party if you were a neighbor”, said Phatboi aka The Global Zoe. “My dad enjoyed music so much that he even started a band in Haiti. The band lasted for about 3 years but trying to manage a band from the U.S. was very difficult. After too much confusion and so many complications dad decided to pull the plug”, he continued.

The Global Zoe who was already a well-known Hip-hop artist in South Florida, his love for Compas grew stronger and he began to combine the two sounds together. He started out by remixing popular zouk records; he remixed “Deeper” by Nelson Fretais, which was well received as the local DJs started to play it. The song was in every club throughout Florida within weeks. The feedback was so good that The Global Zoe decided to put together a entire remix project called H.Z.I.C. “Head Zoe In Charge” and that’s when he knew he was on to something big with his newly found sound.

After months of opening for the top Haitian bands in the Haitian Music Industry such as Carimi, T-Vice, Alan Cave, Daan Junior and so many others, The Global Zoe decided to create his own lane of music combining Zouk and Kompa called “Zoumpa”. Zoumpa is an upcoming original musical genre that blends Guadeloupe and Martinique sounds from Africa with both R&B soul and hip-hop flair.

“I’m still pasionate about Hip-Hop, that’s why I incoporate it in Zoumpa”, speaking of his love for Hip-hop that he never wavers.
